Sara Campagna is a Research Fellow at the Department of Public Health and Paediatrics of the University of Turin, Italy, from 2017. She is a Registered Nurse, and she has been working as a clinical nurse in medical wards and as an adjunct nursing professor. She earned a four years long Doctorate in Experimental Medicine and Therapy in 2017 from University of Torino. Sara’s primary research area are chronic care, oncology care, and aged people in residential and palliative care. She coordinated several multicentre research projects at the local and national level. She has lectured on research methodology and evidence-based nursing at the University of Turin as well as at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Rome and University of Eastern Piedmont. Sara is a member of the Italian Society of Nursing Science (SISI), the Italian Oncology Society (AIOM) and the Italian Society of Psychoneuroendocrinoimmunology (SIPNEI). She also received a grant in 2018 and 2019 from AIOM for her research work on breakthrough cancer pain. Sara is a member of the editorial board of Assistenza Infermieristica e Ricerca from 2015, and she collaborates as a reviewer for several international journals. She has multiple publications on her research topics, and she has an H-index Scopus of 6.
